Infoys Foundation Award
The ACM - Infosys Foundation Award in the Computing Sciences recognizes
personal contributions by young scientists and system developers
to a contemporary innovation that, through its depth, fundamental
impact and broad implications, exemplifies the greatest achievements
in the discipline. The award carries a prize of $150,000. Financial
support for the ACM - Infosys Foundation Award is provided by the
Infosys Foundation endowment.

Daphne
Koller was awarded the first ACM-Infosys Foundation Award in
Computing Sciences for her groundbreaking work combining relational
logic and probability to allow probabilistic reasoning to be applied
to a wide range of applications, including robotics, economics,
and biology.
