National Academy of Engineering
The National Academy
of Engineering (NAE) mission is to promote the technological
welfare of the nation by marshaling the knowledge and insights of
eminent members of the engineering profession.
 Barbara
J. Grosz, interim dean, Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study,
and Higgins Professor of Natural Sciences, School of Engineering and
Applied Sciences, Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass. has been elected
to the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) "For pioneering
research in natural language communication between humans and computers
and its application to human-computer interaction."
